Job Description: Technical Sales Engineer – Specialist in Inverters, Modules, and Batteries – Solar Sector
LOCATION: Based in France (remote) – Frequent travel required
Your main mission:
To develop and promote innovative photovoltaic battery solutions internationally by combining technical expertise with commercial strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
Business Development & Client Relationship
- Actively participate in business development by identifying new technical opportunities in target markets (France, Iberian region, African continent).
- Contribute to drafting competitive technical and commercial offers tailored to the specific needs of international clients.
- Be proactive in adapting or evolving offers based on field feedback.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, developers, and IPPs.
- Prepare responses to tenders, including cost estimations and technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with SOLUTION managers.
Sales Cycle & Project Management
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales cycle, from qualification to commissioning.
- Manage technical tender responses in coordination with all stakeholders, including supply chain, sales administration, service, and solution teams.
Strategy & Technical Promotion
- Develop techno-commercial strategies to promote our PV battery solutions to strategic targets.
- Participate in international trade shows, webinars, and conferences (e.g., Intersolar) to represent the company and its technologies.
Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence
- Conduct international benchmarks and market studies to identify technological, regulatory, and competitive developments.
- Contribute to defining the product roadmap and adaptation needs for international markets.
🧠 You Have:
- An engineering degree (Bac+5 or equivalent) with a specialization in renewable energy, electrical engineering, energy storage, or similar.
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical sales role, ideally in the battery, photovoltaic, or energy sector.
- A strong understanding of energy storage systems (lithium-ion, BMS, inverters, etc.) and PV applications.
- Solid experience in an international context (export account management, negotiating in English, knowledge of international business practices).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to synthesize information, a strong sense of challenge, and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in professional English (spoken and written) is essential; a second language is a plus (Spanish, German, Arabic, etc.).
