Huawei LUTERRA S2: the all-in-one home energy system
The LUTERRA™ S2 is Huawei’s new-generation residential all-in-one system, combining solar inverter, modular battery storage and AI energy management in a single silent unit. Launched at Intersolar Europe 2026 and winner of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026, it replaces the multi-box installation with one appliance that goes up in under ten minutes. Green Power, official Huawei value-added partner, distributes and supports the LUTERRA S2 across France, Spain, Portugal and Africa.
One unit, from 3 kW to 60 kW
The LUTERRA S2 covers the whole residential range: 3–10 kW single-phase and 5–20 kW three-phase, with 5 kWh and 7 kWh battery modules that can be mixed and stacked up to four packs per unit. Three units combine for up to 30 kW / 168 kWh single-phase, or 60 kW / 336 kWh three-phase — enough for large homes, small businesses and multi-family buildings. The system is DC-expandable and V2H ready, so it grows with the household rather than being replaced by it.


Industry-leading efficiency: full SiC design
LUTERRA S2 uses a full SiC MOSFET architecture with ANPC topology and a high-frequency, high-precision control algorithm, reaching more than 99% maximum inverter efficiency. Combined with a built-in energy optimizer and a redesigned cooling system, it delivers more than 5.0 MWh of lifetime energy throughput per kWh of installed capacity — meaning more of every solar kilowatt-hour reaches the home, over more years.
Silent by design: full natural cooling
An industry first: full natural cooling up to 20 kW, with no fans in the power path. The result is a system that runs below 29 dB — quieter than a library — which matters when the unit is mounted on a house wall, in a garage, or near a bedroom. Fewer moving parts also means fewer things that can fail over a twenty-year life.


Installed in under ten minutes
Huawei Luterra S2 has a 5 kWh battery pack weighs 46 kg and the whole system occupies 0.62 m² of wall space. Push-and-pull handles and quick-plug connectors bring physical installation under ten minutes, and full wireless communication with auto-networking brings commissioning under five — no data cables to run, no manual device pairing. For an installer, that is a second job in the same day.
AI Scheduling 2.0 and the FusionSolar AI Assistant
LUTERRA S2 runs Huawei‘s AI Scheduling 2.0, which coordinates the battery with dynamic electricity tariffs, household appliances — EV chargers, heat pumps, water heaters, smart switches — and virtual power plant programmes, across an ecosystem of more than 300 VPP partners. In the FusionSolar App 3.0, the AI Assistant explains in plain language what the system is doing right now, recommends an action, and executes it on a tap.

Safety engineered from the cell up
Protection starts at cell level and extends to the whole system, with two industry-first features: a directional smoke exhaust flue that channels any venting away from the building, and full-link terminal overheat detection that identifies a hot connection before it becomes a fault.
Availability and how to order
Huawei is running pilot recruitment through Q3 2026, with order and delivery from Q4 2026. Green Power is taking registrations of interest now from installers, EPCs and developers in France, Spain, Portugal and Africa.
