Renewable Energy Serving the Rural Sector
We, Green Power had the privilege of participating as sponsors in the Agrovoltaic Conference organized by UNEF and APREN in Badajoz (Extremadura, Spain). This event brought together key players in the sector to discuss the needs, challenges, and opportunities of the rapidly growing agrovoltaic segment and its impact on rural development.

Although our primary expertise lies in the renewable energy sector with Huawei FusionSolar products, we see agrovoltaics as an exciting opportunity to expand Huawei’s solutions to agricultural and livestock operations aiming to integrate solar energy into their processes.
The program featured panel discussions exploring agrovoltaics from various perspectives, highlighting its potential as a driver of sustainable rural development. Notably, its ability to add value to agricultural and livestock operations through clean energy generation and resource optimization was emphasized.
Our colleague Daniel Fernández, Channel Manager for Iberia, participated in the central panel titled “Business Models”, where he shared our approach and presented a relevant success story: the project developed at Monte do Pasto livestock farm. In this project, we supported one of our clients from the design phase to the implementation of an agrovoltaic solution that combines sustainability and energy efficiency.

I found this event to be very insightful, addressing both the challenges and opportunities within this sector. Agrovoltaics is set to become a key market segment in the coming years, and at Green Power, we are committed to supporting our partners in tackling such projects.
